Résumé : |
Separation of molecular isomers, which have similar physical properties, is hardly achieved with conventional separation methods based on phase equilibria. However, using selective inclusion of target molecules into mobil composition of matter allows molecular isomers to be effectively separated from one another. Single and multicomponent adsorption equilibria of xylene isomers: o-xylene (o- x), m-xylene (m-x), p-xylene (p-x) and ethylbenzene (eb) will investigate on the three dimensional microporous MCM-41 in the range of temperatures between 398 and 448 K and partial pressures up to 0.1 bar. The Dual-Site Langmuir model (DSL) will be used for the interpretation and correlation of the experimental data. The aim of the present work is (i) – Separation of the mixture of xylene isomers and ethyl benzene by adsorption equilibria (ii) Iinvestigate the use of mesoporous silica material such us MCM-41 as an adsorbent due to their low cost and also for their big stability. |
